Alice Otter: Strips archive & Plan

To make the comic easier to read, and to save our readers a lot of clicks and time, each page has five comic strips.
The Beginning!

Alice enjoys her last schooldays with her schoolmates. Annoyed by Sophie's nosy attitude, she says she'll spend her holidays in Hawaii. She doesn't believe her, and they make a bet: if Alice doesn't bring pictures of her trip to Hawaii, she'll lose her beloved backpack! Alice tries all sorts of tricks on her unclie Garland to convince him to go to Hawaii. And she makes it! We also see the introduction of Oliver, a sweet otter guy who is too shy to tell Alice he's got a crush on her.

The Hula Hoop

Alice takes to the school a hula-hoop her unclie bought her to show her companions she's going to go to Hawaii. While she plays with it, she accidentally hits a teacher -Ms. Sally Huskinson- on the head, so she cites Garland to talk with her about Alice's discipline problems. In truth, Ms. Huskinson is targeting Garland to marry her, and knowing they'll go to Hawaii, she proposes to go with them to watch Alice closely during that time.

Preparing for the trip

The day of the big trip nears, so Garland and Alice go shopping in preparation for the big trip. Meanwhile, Ms. Huskinson also prepares herself, and even convinces her widow mother to loan her some money, promising her she'll come back married and will be able to move away. Now that school is over and Alice's friends are gone, she gets very bored and demands her unclie to play with her, but he prefers to call Artie, a close friend of them, to play with. Somehow, she convinces Artie to go and buy a game, a chance Ms. Huskinson uses to try and 'befriend' Garland a little more. And fails.

The days before Hawaii

While Alice manages to get a cartful of toys from Artie, she gets an unpleasant surprise as she gets back to her place and discovers Ms. Huskinson is coming with them. Despite she was upset with her unclie for accepting, he manages to calm Alice by taking her to a McDonnell's, her favorite restaurant chain. Meanwhile, Oliver manages to get a pool, and tries to invite Alice to swim with him, but he's too shy to approach her.

Today we fly to Hawaii!

The big day is here! Alice is finally going to Hawaii, and despite having to go with her math teacher, she's very happy to finally go to Hawaii. It's Alice's first time in an airport, a place so big and different from everything she's seen she gets amazed at everything she sees. Still, she's a little frustrated after she learns she also has to wait more before the plane departs. On the meantime, she befriends Dan, a mischievous pony boy her same age, who is also going to Hawaii. And finally, she sees the huge plane, and is baffled at its sheer size

Inside the plane

For Alice, the appeal of flying fades off after a few hours inside her plane, tied to the seat, so she wanders around the huge 747-300 with her new pony friend, being mischievous and trying to prove her superiority, establishing a funny love-hate relationship with Dan. Fortunately, nothing serious happens. We also meet an air attendant in her maiden flight, getting rather disappointed with the experience.

Yay hawaii!

After a very long trip, they're finally on Hawaii! The plane lands, but when they go to pick their baggage, they find Ms. Huskinson's suitcase is lost, and is told to come to solve the problem the next day, since they're closed for the day. Anyway, Garland discovers that Ms. Huskinson enhanced a few things, replacing the econobox he wanted to rent by a mega-cool car, as Alice calls it, and instead of a cheap hotel room, they'll be spending their holidays in a luxury resort. The day after, both Ms. Huskinson and Garland go to reclaim her lost suitcase, leaving Alice on the resort's day care center, where she meets Dan the pony again.

Day care blues

Alice stays in the day care room, still struggling with Dan the Pony for superiority, and the couple even takes part on a beach ball tournament, where they're disqualified for cheating. Meanwhile, the airline agents can't find Ms. Huskinson's luggage, so they give her a -meager- discount ticket for a boutique so she can get new clothes. She reviews her strategy to seduce Mr. Garland and realizes befriending Alice is very important, as Garland is very attached to her niece.
